Delete your Zoota account

You can delete your account and its data at any time. Here is how, and exactly what goes.

From inside the app

The fastest route, and it takes effect immediately.

  1. 1. Open Zoota and sign in.
  2. 2. Go to Settings.
  3. 3. Tap Delete account.
  4. 4. Choose a reason and confirm.

If you can no longer sign in

Email support@zoota.co from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm the request before anything is removed, so that nobody else can delete your account for you.

Requests are actioned within 30 days, and normally far sooner.

What is deleted

Your account stops working the moment you confirm. The rest is erased by a background job shortly afterwards.

  • Your profile: name, username, photo, bio, location and height.
  • Your sign-in credentials.
  • Every delivery you have recorded, with its speed, line, length, bounce and 3D ball-tracking data.
  • Your posts, clips, thumbnails and the video files behind them.
  • Your comments, likes, follows and player tags.
  • Your messages, and any club you created.
  • Any subscription record held on your account.

What is kept, and why

Deliberately short. If something is not on this list, it goes.

  • Group conversations you took part in. Your own messages are deleted, but a group or direct chat you started is handed to another member rather than destroyed, so other people do not lose their history.
  • The reason you gave for leaving. Recorded without your name attached, so we can see why people go.
  • Records we are required to keep. Purchases made through Google Play are held by Google, not by us, and billing records we must retain by law are kept for as long as the law requires.
  • Operational logs. Server logs containing technical identifiers age out on their normal retention schedule.

Before you go

  • Deletion cannot be undone. Once the purge has run, your sessions and analytics cannot be restored, by you or by us.
  • Cancel your subscription separately. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play, so deleting your Zoota account does not cancel one. Cancel it in the Play Store first, under Payments and subscriptions.
  • Save anything you want to keep. Download your clips from the app before you delete, because the video files are erased with everything else.
