1. Who this Policy applies to

This Policy applies to everyone who uses the Service. It covers information we collect through the app, our websites, and our communications with you. It does not cover third‑party apps, websites or services that you may access through Zoota — those are governed by their own privacy policies.

We treat performance videos as sensitive information and collect them only with your consent (which you give by recording or uploading a clip). Please obtain the consent of any other identifiable person before uploading footage of them.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Analyse your bowling/batting and display your stats and history
  • Run global, local and club leaderboards
  • Enable social features (chats, posts, polls, follows)
  • Train and improve our AI ball‑tracking and analytics models (see Section 4)
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Service
  • Process purchases and subscriptions
  • Send you account, security and service notices
  • Comply with our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI model training

We may use performance videos and derived analytics to train and improve our AI models. Where we use data for model training we seek to de‑identify it where practical. You may contact us at admin@cooperfoleyai.com to ask that your content not be used for model‑training purposes.

5. How we disclose your information

We disclose personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, including:
    • Google Firebase — authentication, database, crash and analytics
    • Cloudflare R2 / Cloudflare Stream — media storage and video delivery
    • RunPod — cloud GPU processing of your delivery videos to generate speed/trajectory analytics
    • Sportmonks — read‑only cricket reference data
    • Google Play Billing — purchase processing
  • Other users, where you choose to share content publicly or via social features (e.g. leaderboards, posts)
  • Legal and safety — to comply with a law, court order or lawful government request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Zoota, our users or the public
  • Business transfers — to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy

Each service provider handles data under its own privacy commitments.

6. Overseas disclosure (APP 8)

Some of our service providers store and process personal information outside Australia. In particular, your delivery videos are processed by RunPod, and account/media data is handled by Google Firebase and Cloudflare, which may process data in the United States and other countries.

Before disclosing personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. By using the Service and uploading content, you consent to this overseas disclosure. Where required, we will obtain additional consent for cross‑border disclosure of children's personal information.

7. Data retention

  • Account data is retained while your account is active.
  • Performance videos and analytics are retained to keep your history and leaderboards accurate.
  • When you delete your account, we delete your profile, posts and media, and permanently delete your Firebase credentials, except where we are required to retain certain information by law.
  • De‑identified analytics used to train our models may be retained after account deletion, as it can no longer identify you.

8. Data security

We use HTTPS encryption in transit and secure cloud storage at rest, along with access controls and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. We collect date of birth to confirm a user is at least 13 years old. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly — please contact admin@cooperfoleyai.com.

If you are aged 13–17, you should review this Policy with a parent or guardian and only use the Service with their involvement and consent.

We recognise that Australia's Children's Online Privacy Code (made under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), expected to be registered by 10 December 2026) introduces additional protections for the personal information of children. We are committed to complying with the Code as it comes into effect, including providing age‑appropriate privacy information, acting in the best interests of the child, and obtaining appropriate consent (including for cross‑border disclosures of children's data).

10. Your privacy rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Withdraw consent to optional collection (e.g. contacts, location) via your device settings
  • Request that your content not be used for AI model training

You can manage much of this in the app (settings, block users, request a data copy, or delete your account). For other requests, contact us at admin@cooperfoleyai.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by the Privacy Act. We will not charge you for making a request, though a reasonable cost may apply to giving access in some cases.

11. Data breaches

We comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If we become aware of an eligible data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by law.

12. Cookies and analytics

Our websites may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Our app uses Firebase analytics and crash reporting to understand usage and improve reliability.
